Over TWO MILLION free comics we're given away world wide. We here at Main Street gave away a little over six hundred, and it was awesome.

The day started out CRAZY with a line of people out the door, and it stayed that way for almost an hour.

Need to throw a BIG thanks to Derek Holloway, for not only helpin' me pass out comics, but for saving FCBD'09 big picking me up when my car wouldn't start.(Derek's in the red striped shirt) That's Jesse Mounts behind him in the black shirt who helped out at our table at the library and signed copies of his Wolverine print.

We also had a mini improv card tournament in the afternoon.

Here's a pic of the free special edition books we started the day with, some went very very quickly. The Transformers/G.I.Joe flip book and the Wolverine: Origin of an X-Man were the first to run out.

Everyone seemed to have a blast, and we even had a few books left over to donate to the Schaeffer library. Unfortunately, due only two bands signing up, the Guitar Hero Battle of the Bands was cancelled and WE sat up here and got stoopid on Guitar Hero all night anyway. Too bad YOU missed it! ;p

Other things to mention from this week include the addition of a new shelf for graphic novels and trades that Dakota, Derrien and I built over the weekend, just in time for a HUGE shipment of Marvel trade paperbacks that came in this week.

We also picked up another twenty-five hundred book collection that included not only the first appearances of Venom and the Punisher, but, Batman Year-One, Year-Two and Year-Three, and the ENTIRE Watchmen series in single issues in nearly perfect condition. Get 'em fast.
